The Sr. Product Manager - Systems will be responsible and accountable for the product management activities for all Luminex "Hardware" systems and associated consumables. In addition, they will have supervisory responsibilities over other Systems Product Management personnel. The selected candidate will support the day-to-day portfolio needs, and the execution of the product line strategies, in line with the strategic and tactical Marketing Plan, in order to meet the yearly revenue and profitability goals. The Sr. Product Manager will also be responsible for collecting voice of customer (VOC) feedback, generating product requirements, developing business cases, and leading Marketing efforts for key new product development projects. Additionally, provide Marketing input to the manufacturing and inventory management process, ensuring product performance is high and supply is available, and working with the Regional Marketing teams and the Licensed Technology Group to execute marketing campaigns.


• Develop and expand portfolio opportunities in key market segments from ideation and requirements definition through commercialization
• Drive internal processes and external partners to expedite effective commercialization in targeted markets
• Monitor market and competitive trends to develop differentiated and sustainable product line strategies
• Interface effectively with all company departments to ensure support functions are aware of and serving partners’/customers’ needs
• Participate in Product Development meetings as needed and assist with commercialization activities for new products
• Develop, maintain, and deepen relationships with Key Opinion Leaders
• Effectively collaborate with our Regional Marketing and Partner/Distributor channels, as needed, to support current customer relationships and to develop prospective new business
• Manage and mentor Associate / Product Manager(s)

Required Work Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in "HEALTHCARE" industry in Marketing, Sales, and/or market development; Life Science Research/Medical Device/Software

Candidates must have Managerial experience is a requirement

• Experience in development and marketing of Life Science and/or Diagnostic instrumentation priced under $100,000
• Classical life science and/or Diagnostic Marketing experience preferred with strong experience needed around developing customer and product requirements for development teams
• Sales, sales management and business development experience preferred
• Experience with international business / global product launches preferred
• Experience working within a quality-systems environment and development of products under design control

• Bachelor’s degree required, science or engineering preferred
• MBA or additional business training / certifications strongly preferred
• Sales experience a plus
• Marketing performance excellence with portfolio planning; lifecycle management; communication planning; market research, segmentation and analytics; new product launches and developing corresponding collateral materials; and product development from concept/identified need through commercialization
• Established track record of leading, with and without authority, in a way that inspires others and achieves business objectives; proven success as an individual contributor, team member, and team leader
• Demonstrated customer focus with a proven track record of delivering solutions and results of reciprocal value
• Strong communication skills for interaction with internal and external customers. Ability to readily construct succinct communications that are persuasive and effective
• Superior execution abilities, motivated self-starter with a keen ability to deliver what needs to be done to meet objectives, prioritize and plan work, delegate appropriately, establish and achieve goals, objectives, and timelines
• Demonstrated innovation, original thinking and creativity
• Ability to forge high-level relationships throughout partner and channel distribution organizations
• Proficiency in specific product area (Life Science Research or related field) as well as understanding of our key customer segments of pharmaceutical research, academic labs, and industrial research labs
• Ability to adhere to high ethical standards, possess the ability to excel in a highly competitive environment, demonstrate process and customer orientation, and be results-driven
• Experience developing and executing market-leading offensive strategies and competitive defense strategies
