Title: Manufacturing Tech
Duration: 12 Months Plus

The Reagent Manufacturing Technician is a support role encompassing responsibilities of routine maintenance/calibration of equipment, cleaning of production areas, cleaning of lab ware/glassware, assisting in waste workflows, maintaining stockroom/storage areas, performing cycle counts, material staging for production, material transactions, and performing archiving of quality records. The role may also include participation in kitting/labeling processes and preparation of some reagents.

Site is responsible for standard and custom Luminex reagent product lines encompassing critical organic synthesis intermediates; critical polymer synthesis intermediates; xMAP general purpose reagents; xMAP IVD system reagents; and Immunodiagnostic, Public Health, and Food Safety assay products. Organization is ISO 13485:2012 certified and includes products that are FDA regulated.

Essential Job Duties-
• Performs maintenance and calibration of equipment and systems
• Schedules external maintenance and calibration of equipment
• Performs regular cleaning of production areas
• Performs lab ware/glassware cleaning
• Assists in waste management and chemical/biohazard disposal
• Maintains stockrooms and focused material storage within production areas
• Stages material for production
• Performs timely and accurate inventory cycle counts
• Performs timely and accurate inventory-based transactions in Oracle
• Performs scanning and archiving of quality records
• Assists in kitting and labeling processes
• May perform preparation of low complexity reagents

Required Work Experience-
• Some work experience desired in a Life Sciences, Chemistry, Bio/Mechanical, or Medical Technology related industry preferably in an FDA regulated and/or ISO certified operation
• Relevant combinations of education, experience, training, and merit may be considered upon the review of Senior Director of Reagent Operations

REQUIRED Education / Training

• Associates degree or equivalent work experience in the field of Chemistry, Life Sciences, Bio/Mechanical, or Medical Technology related field desired
